Distance Learning Forum meeting Thursday 5 December

We are looking forward to seeing you at our next DLF meeting, which takes place on Thursday 5 December, 14-16.00 hrs, in Dalhousie 2S14.  This promises to be an illuminating, indeed exciting event…

Firstly, we have Lindsay Donnelly, IT Communications Lead from UoDIT, giving us a short presentation on the recent introduction of multi-factor authentication.  We will have the opportunity to discuss with her how this affects distance learners and staff working remotely from campus.

Next, by popular demand at the last meeting, we have a ‘speed dating’ exercise lined up, when we will not only be networking with one another, but specifically focusing on our aspirations for DL at UoD – as well as the challenges that those aspirations present.

After a short coffee/tea break, Susie will be presenting on Peer Observation in the distance learning context, and leading some discussion on that topic.

We hope you can make it along and look forward to seeing you there.  If you can’t come along, there are two further meetings this academic session and maybe you’ll make it along to one of those:

Tuesday 10 March 2020 14-16.00 hrs Dalhousie 2S15

Thursday 14 May 2020 14-16.00 hrs Dalhousie 2S15

Aileen and Susie
