Resolved:Pop-up in My Dundee when accessing course materials

Update: Issue resolved

My Dundee was updates on 16/4/21, and included in this update was the fix for this issue. We have done some testing and can confirm that this solution is in place. If you do continue to have this issue, please contact Help4U. 


A recent update to the security settings by the vendor, Blackboard, is causing users to see a pop-up sign-in window when they try to download materials from their course in My Dundee.

If you see this, you’ll need to clear your cache and cookies, making sure that you clear you cookies for ‘all time’ or the longest option provided. You can find instructions for how to clear cookies based on your browser below.

Once you’ve cleared your cache and cookies, close your browser completely before you try to access the content again. 

Alternatively, you can use the incognito function in your browser as this should keep your cookies clear without requiring you to repeat the process of clearing your cache and cookies. 

When will this be fixed?

Blackboard have listed this as a ‘known issue’ and are working on a fix. We will update you as soon as they tell us more.
