Ai and Technology will expand the futuristic world from today due to the constant developing of technology in healthcare. Are group project was to have a look into the insight of the brain and see how technology will be able to be used in the future to cure different types of diseases the brain struggles with. Pop culture has impacted significantly in are report as many movies/tv series have been mentioned due to the relation they have with Ai and technology and the idea of futuristic brain activity. We focused on all different genres of film and series one being kingsman secret service and the idea that the use of a SIM card can determine ones emotions of anger and violence. This although being a key part to the film was also a key part to are report as the future could hold much powerful and frightening devices such as this which could possibly control the human brain activity. Medical reports were also a huge contribution to the project as we needed to understand the brain and how it works to know what can be done in the future.  The history of  the brain is really quite fascinating as we found out that the oldest form of neurosurgery is Burr holes. This being a method to release pressure from the brain, removing evil sprints or sometimes to enlighten them. This dating all the way back to the Roman and Greek era. The future can hold many scenarios, one being a implant to detect when the brain needs to seek medical attention. This can be identified quickly to resolve any problems before it becomes too late. The future holds both negative and postive outcomes however, we will have to wait and see this for are selves.

  1. I feel AI will inevitably creep into all aspects of life. Do you think that it is possible AI will eventually develop so far it doesn’t need human oversight?

    • I think it’s entirely possible AI could function completely independently. While it is a slightly worrying thought, it’s interesting to think when humans will no longer be top of the food chain. I think it’s not very likely that this will happen in our lifetimes.

    • I believe your right, AI is already far more present than most would think or bellieve. Some AI’s that are capable of correcting and learning from their own mistakes already exist, it’s just a matter of time honestly.

  2. I really enjoyed watching your presentation, it was very interesting. AI are already such a prevalent part of providing medical care and are only becoming more useful through development. Do you personally think there is a possibility of AI completely taking over our healthcare system?

    • I do think there is a possibility of it taking over our healthcare system. I think that will take a long time to do and of course there will always be specialists to look after/run the AI. It could certainly be promising for healthcare as it would eliminate human error but I believe we are a long way away from that right now.
