Where is this line of transhuman drawn? the use of tools is rarely linked to transhumanism such as using a car to travel vast distance far more rapidly than is possible without, is it when body modification is introduced? are pacemakers and hearing aids considered transhuman?
Is humanity inherently transhuman? and if so then why do we fear our intrinsic drive to better ourselves, our livelihoods and the live of those around us.
What is a Transhuman? like you mentioned, tools such as cars aren’t transhuman since it’s not a permanent addition integrated into the body especially the car since that is just a vehicle. The pacemaker and debatably the hearing aid might start to enter the transhuman area since the pacemaker is a permanent addition inside your body. Lastly why do we fear this? Simply because with great power comes great responsibility, like mentioned in the project this advancement could lead to a far more divided society with a greater power gap between individuals. There is also the fear of the unknown since this is still a rather new field that could lead to many different futures.
