We’ll be looking today at both formative assessment or, as it’s also called, assessment for learning, and summative assessment….Continue Reading 3: Assessment
10: Production
Introduction Today’s topic will give you the opportunity to think about learning through Production, to help you consider how you could enrich and motivate learners to consolidate what they have learned and how they used it in practice. Day 5: Involving the students (part 1)
Yesterday, we looked at allowing students to see what others have created for their assignment – how about extending this to getting students to set quiz questions for each other – Today, we have a guest post by Dr. Carolina Kuepper-Tetzel. about that. Day 5: Involving the students (part 2)
In part 1 of today’s post, we thought about encouraging students to develop quiz questions. Yesterday, we looked at allowing students to see what others have created for their assignment – but what about extending this to allow (require!) peer marking, or perhaps getting students to start looking at how they’ll be graded. Photographs, pieces of writing, videos, presentations, data and 3D models can all be shared in different places, with some platforms better suited to particular types of content. It’s important review the terms and conditions of any publishing platform you choose to make sure that you’re not transferring or losing the rights to your own work….Continue Reading Day 4: Sharing Resources
Day 5: Using open educational resources
Once you’ve found content you’re going to want to use and today we’ll begin to explore some ways that you might do that that which are a bit more appealing than giving students a list of links in a Word document or in the VLE….Continue Reading Day 5: Using open educational resources
