On the way to University on the Monday I collected rubbish to put into the cage. During this is picked up a glass bottle and decided to smash it to create a piece to stop the stem of the flower from moving around. When I got to Uni put the rubbish in the cage I burned some of it to create a more distressed aesthetic to some of it. I then smashed to bottle and used super glue to put the shards together. I asked some peers for their thoughts on the arrangement of the rubbish, once I felt that it was looking good and the glue was dry that was the model complete. I immediately went outside and got a local flower to put in the model so that I could have photos of it decaying throughout the week for the social media pages.
Then I spent the rest of the day making logos and images for the instruction booklet. I then took these and put them into an InDesign Document and got the instruction booklet almost finished.
On the Wednesday I planned out how I was going to display my exhibition and came up with some ideas then used these to finish off my instruction booklet so that they tied together. I sat up until late on Wednesday night printing and creating plinths for my booklet and 100 words description.
The next morning was the day of the exhibition. I set up my exhibition and when it was open I decided to take tome to speak to the audience and gauge their thoughts. Even pretended that it wasn’t my project with some people to get a more honest idea from them. This was the end of the project for me, the next post will be a reflective essay from myself about the project.
Final Display –
