Transform your studies with visual notetaking
Visual notetaking or sketch-noting is the practice of using shapes, symbols, illustrations, and text to visually present your thoughts or knowledge. Bullet-point notes become creative, graphical, and engaging. The process allows you to apply your knowledge by storytelling, problem-solving, and making creative decisions. It can also improve your listening skills and recall.
You don’t need to be good at drawing or have any fancy materials! Doodling stick-figures, emojis and simple shapes with a pen and paper will do! Here are a few resources to help you get started:
- Learning Visual Notes: A Step-by-Step Guide – online guide
- The sketchnote handbook: the illustrated guide to visual note taking – available from the library
