Padlet

Take a look at the Easter Around the World padlet to find out about Easter traditions throughout the world. Please feel free to contribute to the padlet and add your own traditions.

Miro

Google Easter Eggs

Easter eggs, but not as you know them.  These Easter eggs are images, messages or hidden features that can be found by searching for specific words or phrases within Google Search.

Here are some examples to try (these are case sensitive):

  • ‘holi’ – available during the Holi festival (beginning March 28 2021), an image of rangoli colour power is visible in the knowledge panel.  Click on this image, then elsewhere on the page to ‘throw’ the powder.  You can then clean the page using the water droplet at the top of the page.
  • ‘google in 1998’ – will display Google with the 1998 layout.  Click ‘take me back to the present’ to return to the current layout.
  • ‘cha cha slide’ – this will display an image of a microphone.  Clicking on this image will take you through the main chorus of the song.
  • ‘breathing exercise’ – a 60 second breathing exercise will be appear to bring awareness to your breath.

On the Google Homepage, if you hover over the ‘I’m feeling lucky’ button, it will alternate between different phrases such as:

  • I’m feeling Doodley: Random Google Doodle
  • I’m feeling Artistic: Random Google art Project
  • I’m feeling Puzzled: “A Google A Day” homepage
  • I’m feeling Playful: Random interactive Google Doodle
