The NES conference (that combined a number of cancelled conferences due to the COVID pandemic, including Dental and Medical Education) took place entirely virtually in 2021.

Participants were invited to submit an infographic/poster on a recent project and the results that had been collected after the project trial. Our submission ‘Developing Systems Thinking in 1st Year Medical Students Using Animation’ was successful, and was displayed in the conference gallery. ‘The Bromiley Case’ animation (of which more detail can be found here) was trailed and found to be very successful in engaging students in discussion, with 90% of students reporting that it needed no improvement.
