Overview

Project Title: ‘Survival Guide to Genetics’

Project Sponsor: Dr Jonathan Berg, Clinical Senior Lecturer in Undergraduate Medicine

TILT Medical Artist: Eve Laws

Genetics – a difficult subject to grasp, particularly for first year medical students.

It is an overwhelming subject and there is a lack of visual material in circulation to aid learning. Working closely with Dr Jonathan Berg, Medical Artist Eve Laws both illustrated and designed the ‘Survival Guide to Genetics’ with text and information from Dr Berg.

The PDF is 74 pages long and covers all material that the medical students should know in their first year. The contents page is interactive and provides quick navigation and easy access to specific pages. The PDF is fully screen readable, keeping accessibility in mind.

The PDF includes pages on genetic disorders, the structure of DNA, cell division, genetic sequencing and much more.
