Immerse yourself in this performance of the dark comedy by DJCAD Professor Maria Fusco which was commissioned by National Theatre Wales to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the NHS and premiered in the BBC symphony hall in Cardiff in 2018. Written and directed by Fusco, the piece explores the skin disease eczema from which Fusco herself suffers.

Maria Fusco is a a Belfast-born writer working across the registers of criticism, fiction and performance writing who has been Professor of Interdisciplinary Writing at DJCAD since May 2020. In this fascinating film she explains how the data from her eczema scratch glove helped form the musical score, composed by John Harris, for the piece.
