For many of us, the end of semester means one thing: exams. Whether you’re new to university exams, nervous about writing an in-person exam for the first time, or uncertain about the best techniques for online exams, our programme of face-to-face support and online resources can help you improve your revision and produce your best work.
Revision Workshops
If you’d like to improve your exam performance, the best place to start is with our revision workshops. These workshops run Week 11-12 and are a great place to learn new strategies, share thoughts, and ask questions.
All workshops run on-campus, 11:00-12:00, in Dalhousie 1F09.
- Planning Your Revision (Thursday, November 28th)
- Reading for Revision (Friday, November 29th)
- Dealing with Exam Pressure (Monday, December 2nd)
- Effective Revision Techniques (Tuesday, December 3rd)
Can’t make any of the live sessions? Don’t worry– they’ll all be available as blog posts so you can get all the key information even if you can’t attend in-person.

Ongoing Support
If you’ve attended sessions and read through our resources, we’re happy to help you take what you’ve learned and apply to it to your own revision strategies. We offer one-to-one appointments so you can get the support you need at a time that suits you.
Our one-to-one appointments are available to book throughout revision and exams. They last 30 minutes and run either in-person or online. Appointments are a great way to take what you’ve learned in our resources and work with an expert to develop strategies for how to apply the revision techniques to your subject.
