University induction
As a new member of staff at the University you’ll have been given access to the staff welcome pages where you can find out all the practical information you need in the first weeks of starting work, such as mandatory training, University structure and policies. You’ll also find the Staff Handbook in that area.
You’ll also have a personal induction, ideally in the first week of employment, led by your line manager or superviser, which will introduce you to the way things work in your particular school and area. They’ll go through an Induction Checklist with you so that everything you need to know immediately is covered.
Teach at Dundee
This is an online academic induction resource that we made specifically for staff who teach or support teaching. This supplements the other inductions, enhancing your knowledge of what it is to be a teacher here at Dundee.
Teach at Dundee introduces you to the history, vision and culture of the University, as well as to the resources and services available to support your teaching. It will answer any questions you have from when the University was established to what the probation process entails to where to get the best cup of coffee on city campus.
