In the following short video, botanical horticulturalist Clare Reaney talks through how the living collections in the Botanic Gardens at the University of Dundee are labelled, and what the labels mean. Labelling is an extremely important part of the conservation process within the Botanics – the living collections have two parts to them; the plants you see and the information we have about it in our records. Without records the botanic collection has less conservation value as we wont know the provenance. The key to the information is the label!
