Getting out in nature can be a great way to relax and practice mindfulness. We know that it’s not possible for everyone to get out as much as we would normally like, so the Botanic Gardens here at University of Dundee have been posting regular updates from the garden so we have a way to enjoy the relaxing nature of the gardens from our homes. Take some time today to enjoy the peace and tranquility in the following videos and pictures!

First up is the video of a glimpse of the lovely Magnolia stellata before the breeze takes the petals away. This plant has a unique spicy fragrance and is now only found in a mountainous area of Japan. Luckily it grows very well in Dundee. There will be a Magnolia gap now until the next species flower in June:

Next is this beautiful shot of the peaceful pond in the tropical glasshouse:

 

 

You can almost hear the sound of the rain from the next picture, which shows the plants after a much needed rainfall in April

 

And finally, enjoy this video which shows the tranquility of the Botanic Garden with Cherry, Wild Pear and Blackthorn blossom blowing in the wind.
